The oak used for the main body of this table was reclaimed from an old wheat storage built in 1933. This historic building was crafted entirely by hand – no electricity, chainsaws, or modern tools were used. Each beam was hand-chiseled by skilled craftsmen, preserving the authenticity and soul of the wood.
By giving this oak a second life, we not only honor the heritage of European craftsmanship but also contribute to a sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyle.
Vintage Details from Pre-WW2 Era
To add even more character, the drawers of this table come from vintage Singer sewing machines, made before World War II. These drawers, once used to hold sewing accessories, now serve as practical storage with a timeless touch.
The wheels were salvaged from industrial sewing machines, originally powered by foot pedals. These machines came from Triglav Konfekcija, once the largest sewing company in the region – a true piece of local industrial history.
